May 2 – June 2 “Under Pressure”: An LAA Printmaking Show
Do you etch, incise, carve, paint, draw or use ink on linoleum, plexiglass, copper, wood or stone to create your art? The Lamorinda Arts Alliance proudly invites fine art printmakers to participate in a juried exhibition at the Main Street Arts Gallery in Martinez from May 2nd to June 2nd, 2018. The artist reception will be a “Cinco de Mayo” themed event on May 5th from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. The artwork will be juried by Jan Cook, a local artist and a member of the California Society of Printmakers.
All work must be handmade by the participating artist. All printmaking mediums will be considered with an emphasis on intaglio prints such as etchings, monotypes or monoprints, and relief prints such woodblocks, and linoleum. Multi-media pieces will be accepted if printmaking is a featured and essential part of the piece. No digital prints will be accepted. Please refer to the Prospectus for further information.
