My Pet Acorn Woodpecker by Melchia Kutches

This art is oil on stretched canvas.  My inspiration for this piece are from the walks through Limeridge Open Space, in the East Bay.  The Oak forests have lots of Acorn Woodpeckers.  They make holes in the dead limbs and trees to store the oak acorn.  My daughter made the comment, \"Wouldn\'t it be great if a woodpecker did that to us?\"
