Artist's Statement

My artwork is an exploration of light, texture, and the diverse landscapes of Northern California. Watercolor captivates me because of its dual nature: it requires deliberate technical precision, yet demands that I surrender control to the fluid movement of water on paper.

Having a background in software development, I find a beautiful contrast in painting. Where code is logic and structure, watercolor is intuition and spontaneity. I am constantly inspired by my hikes through regional parks and open spaces, and my goal is to capture those fleeting moments of atmospheric light and natural harmony, inviting the viewer to pause and experience the serenity of the outdoor world.
