Solomon Kepler

Solomon Kepler is a contemporary, surrealist and abstract expressionist artist based in
the East Bay of California. His work is characterized by a multidimensional approach,
often incorporating physical media—such as metallic elements—to bridge the gap
between traditional canvas and sculptural depth.
At the heart of Solomon’s creative practice lies a profound, self-described kinship with his ancestor, the 17th-century astronomer Johannes Kepler. Inspired by the precisionand wonder of the cosmos, Solomon’s paintings explore the intersection of celestial mechanics and human emotion. This artistic evolution began in early 2026, sparked bya profound personal epiphany: discovering the etymological thread connecting his two daughter’s names Hannah Marie, Nina Grace, to the name Johannes—both sharing roots in the
meaning of "graciousness." This realization transformed his perspective, imbuing his
work with a sense of destiny and a deeper exploration of his own lineage and the
obligation to self through art.
Solomon’s work is contemporary and experimental, seeking to capture the vastness of
the universe within the intimacy of the viewer’s experience.

Since begginning painting in spring 2026 Solomon Kepler's artwork has been in exhibitoin at the Edgewater Gallery in Fort Bragg, the Buenaventura Gallery in Ventura.
