After living and working on the S.F. Peninsula for over 35 years, I recently returned to my "roots" here is the East Bay (I grew up in Orinda). I taught art at the middle school, high school and adult education levels as well as running a staging and design business for 12 years. I spend time in Baja Sur California where the natural wildlife and vibrant colors influence my work.
Watercolors are intriguing as well as challenging. Drying quickly but with fluid and transparent effects makes this medium my favorite. In my art, I find satisfaction in putting together concepts I see and dream... lots of possibilities for creative expression. Lately, I have been painting birds and using old wooden textile stamps to give the work more depth and dimension. Hopefully, my art will strike a chord with the viewer and will create a lasting impression.
