Abstract painter, collage
Margie Caldwell-Gill studied painting, printmaking and sculpture along with biology and chemistry to earn her BA in Fine Arts from Wake Forest University. She followed her love for art and science and continued her studies to earn a Masters degree as a Medical Illustrator. For 15 years she created medical illustrations for magazines, pharmaceutical ads and textbooks. With the illustration work she enjoyed taking abstract science concepts and communicating them in an editorial format. Over the last 16 years her interest shifted to abstract art where she focuses her training with color, layers and texture to communicate emotions, time and space.
